YayaLand Takeover II is the second rendition of an immersive experience that explores how light alone can create an ephemeral presence. This iteration transformed the entire I.M. Weiss Gallery in Detroit by readdressing the existing lighting and windows in order to create a colorful and euphoric atmosphere. This unique installation is constantly changing as the light shifts throughout the day. As the sun shines through the windows, colorful reflections fill the space and bounce off of the pedestals creating vibrant caustics that dance on the wall. As the sky gets darker, the inside lights become more saturated creating a completely different experience.
