YayaLand Takeover is an immersive experience that transforms the College for Creative Studies Ford Campus beginning at sundown. The energetic presence of light affects you on a cellular level, raising your overall vibration. This vibrant installation readdresses the existing lighting by creating a colorful and euphoric atmosphere— ultimately transcending and allowing the public to explore the space at their own will and leisure. This event was an official part of the Detroit Month of Design program which takes place every September 1-30. Programmed by Design Core, Detroit Month of Design is a citywide celebration of creativity that gathers designers and the greater community to celebrate Detroit's role as a UNESCO City of Design. This project was also presented at DLECTRICITY in partnership with Detroit Month of Design.
