Dreams of Glassblowing
Blown Glass, Blowpipes, Copper, Steel, Cable (2021)
Dreams of Glassblowing was inspired by a vivid dream in which I stumbled upon a pile of bent blowpipes— all twisted into the same tangled forms that inhabit my waking work. Rooted in the idea of quantum entanglement, these shapes trace the invisible energy field connecting all things.
This piece not only captures a frozen moment within the process of glassblowing— where breath, heat, and motion solidify into stillness, but it also reimagines the most essential tool in glassblowing: the blowpipe. Clear glass bridges the distorted pipes like threads between worlds, reflecting how the dream realm and reality weave through one another— revealing creation itself as a collaboration between matter and energy, the dreamer and the dream.
